| F. | Value Propositions | : | Featured courses in the Modern Indonesian Language and Literature Study a. Forensic Linguistics This course equips students with the understanding and skills of language analysis in legal and criminalistic contexts. Students learn the application of linguistics in solving legal cases, such as analyzing speech acts, threatening texts, hoaxes, language disputes, and linguistic evidence, and understanding the role of linguists in the investigation and trial process. b. Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) This course focuses on mastering the concepts, methods, and practices of Indonesian language learning for foreign speakers. Students are equipped with pedagogical, linguistic, and cultural competencies to design, implement, and evaluate BIPA learning in a multicultural and global context. c. Directing This course develops students' abilities to creatively and professionally design and manage drama or literary performances. Students learn the role of the director in interpreting scripts, directing actors, managing the artistic aspects of the performance, and integrating elements of language, literature, and aesthetics. d. Journalism This course equips students with basic journalistic knowledge and skills, including reporting techniques, news writing, reporting, and journalistic ethics. Students are trained to produce fact-based, critical, and responsible journalistic work, adapting to developments in print, online, and multimedia media. 2. Center of Excellence (CoE) a. CoE Language Diplomacy The CoE Language Diplomacy internship focuses on BIPA program management and teaching practice for international students. During the internship, students are tasked with assisting with BIPA office administration, such as data archiving, scheduling, managing learning documents, and coordinating academic activities. Students also practice teaching directly to foreign speakers, from preparing materials and implementing lessons to conducting simple evaluations. All internship activities are then compiled into a final report containing a summary of activities, learning outcomes, and documentation of performance during their time in the BIPA environment. b. CoE Book Entrepreneur The CoE Book Entrepreneur Internship provides students with hands-on experience in the book publishing process and book business development. Students are involved in the manuscript editing process, ensuring language quality and completeness of content before entering the production stage. In book production, students learn the layout process, cover design, selection of visual elements, and coordination with the printing company. In addition, students also play a role in promotional activities such as creating publication materials, managing digital content, and assisting with the distribution or publication of works. This experience provides a comprehensive understanding of how books are processed and marketed in the book industry. 3. Collaboration Foreign Partnership Foreign partnerships are carried out by the Modern Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program in the CoE language diplomacy internship program. These collaborations include: Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand Jilin International Studies University, China Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam Vietnam University of Social Sciences and Humanities Domestic Collaboration Domestic collaborations are carried out by the Modern Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program in the CoE book entrepreneur internship program.
